On International Day of Charity (Friday, 5th September) VeloxServ is proud to announce Compton Care as its nominated charity partner, supporting the organisation’s vital work in providing care and support to local people living with life-limiting conditions.

The leading provider of full-fibre connectivity, server hosting and data centre services, has provided colocation services for Compton Care since 2022 and is now looking to give something back to the charity, which has been delivering specialist palliative and end-of-life care across Wolverhampton, Dudley, Walsall, South Staffordshire, and East Shropshire for over 40 years.

Craig Messer, Founder and Managing Director of VeloxServ said:

“We’re honoured to be supporting Compton Care as our nominated charity. Their work touches the lives of so many people in our community, and we’re excited to help raise awareness and funds that will ensure they can continue to provide this incredible support.”

Their expert team provides care both at Compton Hall and in patients’ homes, ensuring individuals and their families feel safe, supported, and empowered at every stage of their journey.

This year alone, it will cost £15.7 million to run Compton Care’s services, which include:

  • Answering 28,000 calls through their 24/7 advice and referral line.
  • Providing 24-hour specialist care for 347 patients in their Inpatient Unit.
  • Supporting more than 100 children and young people with tailored services.
  • Delivering over 4,250 support sessions, including pre-bereavement, bereavement, social, and spiritual support.
  • Carrying out 5,234 home visits from doctors, nurses, and paramedics.
  • Offering hospital-level care at home through their Virtual Ward, supporting 772 patients.
  • Ensuring 97% of patients never return to hospital once under Compton’s care.

By working together, VeloxServ and Compton Care will raise vital funds, increase awareness of the charity’s services, and create positive social impact within the local community. The partnership also provides opportunities for VeloxServ employees to engage through volunteering, training, and fundraising activities, while further embedding the company’s values and commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility.

Rachel Hailey, Corporate Fundraiser for Compton Care, added:

“We are delighted to welcome VeloxServ as a new corporate partner. Partnerships like this are essential in helping us to continue delivering high-quality care and support to patients and families when they need it most.”
